It's been a long time since I have switched to the Digital side of the world. Last week I took out my 24 years old Nikon FM2 with 50mm f/1.8 Lens and go for the shooting!

I still love the feeling of being fully manual, the feel of the camera in my hand and also the shutter sound. So sweet! You really have to make sure before pressing the shutter because there's no turning back. And finally the wait to see the final picture come out after developing process. That reminds me of the old times when I have my first camera years ago.

It's a good experience after all. After 5 years of going Digital, the final result from film still impressed me. The color is still much better than Digital! I think now I should bring my heritage camera around with me more often ;)

a billboard appeared next to the Highway 101 in California

I think a lot of people don't understand the meaning of this billbord. Even you get it, it's also not so easy to write a program to find that number to add to the url to point to that website. What the heck is that?

If we browse the value of number 'e' (2.71828 18284 59045 23536 02874 7135...), we found that the first 10-digit prime number within these decimals is '7427466391'. So this ad is by '7427466391.com', which contains more clues.

I think a lot of you may realise that this is recuitment site for some software company that trying to get attention to new talents. This website '7427466391.com' which is now already closed is hosted on Google server. On that website is another puzzle to solve and if you can get thruogh that it will bring you to Google web page and an invitation to work with Google!.. WOW.

This is indeed a really cool campaign to recruite pepole to work with. Instead of advertising in the newspaper and go through piles of resume and many interviews. The ads can screen the people who has a strong mathematical and programming backlground and really wanna go through this.

Nikon has finally announced the new professional 10.2 megapixel digital SLR camera to nikno family, Nikon D200. It has a great features much closer to its big brother D2X. Highlights are a magnesium-alloy body, an 11-area AF sensor, 3D Color Matrix Metering II, 5 frames per second continuous shooting, 2.5" LCD monitor, USB 2.0, 1/250 sec X-sync plus WiFi and GPS support.

The best news is the price is $1,849 in the US which is cheaper than D100 when it was first released. Maybe because Nikon shift the production base to Factory in Authaya, Thainland right now. It will be availible end of December 2005, about the same time as Nikon's new 18-200 vr lens

This page was displayed on the NikonDigital.com web site yesterday. It was then being removed after a short while. ;)

According to dpreview, the information from this website is quite realiable because it is under Nikon Inc. They might accidentally upload this page for testing purpose before official launch (next week, hopefully)

D200 existence has been a rumor in dpreview and other photography webboard for a while now and Nikon never say anything about it until recently. So if this is true, we'll see Nikon D200 with 10.2 MP CCD availible in the market for $1700 very soon.

Gosh, I must have been very busy... I didn't know that THIS was out until I passed by HMV in orchard Yesterday.

It was released on 26th of September, a year after last album, Borrowed Heaven. It goes back to the beginnings, defining a journey that began more than a decade ago. "Home" is an historic, beautiful album. It is not intended to be a commercial pop album, but simply a wonderful compilation of traditional Irish songs that they grew up listening to. For me,it is thoroughly enjoyable, with unique catchy melodies, sweeping ballads and beautiful sweet vocal performances. That's why the Corrs is my all time favorite band.

ปกติเวลาเปิด browser ขึ้นมาหน้าแรก ตั้ง web ไหนเป็น Homepage กันบ้าง ? โดยปกติแล้วผมตั้งหน้า แรกไว้ที่ Google เผื่อจะใช้ค้นข้อมูลอะไรต่างๆ แต่ส่วนมากก็ต้องเปิดต่อไป web อื่นๆ เพื่อ check email อ่านข่าว เข้า webboard หรือไปดู blog ของเพื่อนๆที่ขยัน update กันซะจริงๆ

Feature ใหม่อันนี้ จะทำให้หน้าตา Google ที่เคยโล่งๆ ของเรา กลายเป็นแหล่งรวบรวมข้อมูลทุกอย่างที่เราต้องการไว้ในหน้าเดียว ทั้งหัวข้อข่าวที่น่าสนใจ, อ่าน Mail ล่าสุดจาก Gmail account ,เช็คผลบอล, เช็คราคาหุ้น, เช็ครอบหนัง,พยากรณ์อากาศ หรือแม้แต่ Update ล่าสุดบน Blog ของเพื่อนๆ ที่เราอ่านประจำ

What if one split second sent your life in two completely different directions?

Looking back in your life so far, there's certian time that some sort of decision had to be made, and, for better or worse, it completely changed the course of your existence. From time-to-time, we might think about the paths we have not taken, and how things might have turned out if the choice had been differenlyt. Sometimes just a small action like missing the train could have sucd a great impact in your life.

It begins with Helen who just lost her job as an advertising executive, decides to return home in the middle of the day. The split of the story is at the train platform. If she slip through the sliding doors just before the train pulls out of the station, she would meet James onboard and minutes later, in her flat, she would walk in on her lover - Gerry - in bed with another woman. But if she missed the train and, shortly thereafter, was the victim of an attempted mugging, she wouldn't meet James and failed to make it home in time to discover Gerry's secret. Separted from one against the other, while sharing a lot of the same places, cues, and characters, the two stories proceed in parallel from there.

Gwyneth Paltrow plays double roles as two Helens who are initially the same, but bit by bit become so much different. She had done a terrific job for both of her roles - the shy, insecure woman who stays with Gerry and the independent, smart-looking women who retire her old life and set off on a new career with a new man.

Again, this is one of the movie i've been dying to see for ages. I had to watch this movie recently to complete the assignment. =p Of course, it's a great movie and worth watching. I first recognize this movie from its sound track "Turn back time" perfrom by AQUA , which is one of my all time favorite song. The lyric is definitely suit the story line of this movie.

This is the first cartoon that made me cry this year. Yes, i finally got to see it after been searching for a long long time. I've been listening to the soundtrack since it first release in 1997 but i never had a chance to see the movie itself. Well, i know it's kinda old movie but i think it's still charming.

It's funny how a lot of people think this is a disney's production though it's actually produce by Fox!

I've been through a lot of things this week but when seeing this movie it makes me realise what is really important in our life.

Fujifilm FinePix S9000 Zoom : DSLR approach, with a flexible attitude

This is like my dream comes true :
    - 9 MP (well,I don't need that much but 9 is quite a lot)
    - manual zoom lens 28- 300mm (Yes! Finally!)
    - usable ISO ranging from 80 - 1600
    - Tilting LCD (Fuji should have though about it long time ago...)

And it also has the good feature from previous model like 1 cm Macro, fast start up time and shutter lag and good power consumption and thank god Fuji still keeping the compactflash and AA batteries.

Well, what else should I ask for more?

After releasing its first 7 mp camera phone last month here comes a little surprise from Samsung again. There's thread in a photo forrum about a Photo Fair in Beijing. Samsung disclose its new SLR-like camera,The Digimax Pro 815.

I has comes the newest hyper zoom 28-420 mm (15x), the longest zoom in the market right now. It also has mechanical zoom, focus ring, exposure compensation ring, 2/3" CCD sensor with most likely 8 MP resolution and a 3.5" TFT LCD monitor. A further detail about this camera is still unknown.

Nikon D70s and D50 officially launched

Yesterday Nikon has officially announced 2 new D-SLR cameras, D70s and D50.

D70s is the upgraded version of D70. It has improved auto focus accuracy, slightly wider flash coverage, a higher capacity battery, a new larger 2.0" LCD monitor and re-designed menus.

Good news for existing D70 owners is that Nikon also release new firmware for D70 so that
they can enjoy the improved function introduced in D70s as well. The D70 firmware updater will be released worldwide in mid-May.

D50 is the newest and smallest D-SLR in Nikon family. The D50 is clearly an entry level market camera targeted for amateurs who want to switch from compact cammera. Noted that it uses SD cards and not CF, whereby most compact camera users should already have a them.
With the starting price of $899 (kit) and available in two colors; black and silver, this will surely effect the high-end prosumer camera producer like Sony DSC-F828 or Konica Minolta DiMAGE A200 and of course the direct opponent - Canon EOS 350D / Digital Rebel XT .

Nikon D50 Update

The Italian website Dphoto have just published what they claim to be the official product shot and specifications of the new Nikon D50.

The rumor is true

According to dpreview.com the rumors about D70s and D50 become real and these new gadgets wil be realeased by the end of this month.

There's another rumor (not comfirmed) that Nikon factory in Ayuthaya has shut down the D70 production line sometimes ago. The camera in the market now is what they have left in the warehouse. D70s production line is about to begin soon. No news about D50 production yet.

The expected price for D50 is 599$ (from Nikonian) and D70s is around 1300$ (same price as D70 when first release). The market price for D70 will drop but it won't go below than $800 and eventually be off the market.

ตอนหยุด Recess กลับบ้านไป แล้วก็ขนเครื่องน้ำพริกอ่องของโปรด ติดมาด้วย
วันนี้เกิดเบื่อๆขึ้นมาก็เลยถือเป็นฤกษ์ดี ทำน้ำพริกอ่องซะเลย เดี๋ยวเก็บไว้นานของจะเสียหมด ^^

ทำไปทำมา...ทำไม มันออกมาเยอะอย่างนี้แหละ ก็ใส่อย่างละนิดละหน่อย พออย่างโน้นเกิน ก็เติมๆ ไปเรื่อยๆ จนออกมาเต็มกระทะอย่างที่เห็น
เฮ้อ...ทำคนเดียว กินได้ทั้งหมู่บ้านเลยนะเนี่ย

แต่จะว่าไปแล้ว ก็ออกมาไม่เลวนะ สำหรับการลองทำครั้งแรก ^^
ดูไปดูมา ก็หน้าตาเหมือนแล้วนะ ส่วนรสชาติเป็นไง ต้องลองไปถามคนที่ได้ชิมดูละกัน อิๆๆ

เสร็จสมบูรณ์ แล้วก็จัดใส่จาน มีไส้อั่วด้วย แหม...นี่ถ้ามีแคบหมูอีก ก็ครบเลยนะเนี่ย

ว่าแต่ว่า แถวนี้ใครมีข้าวเหนียวมั่งไหม่เนี่ย ?

Super wide Sigma 10 - 20 mm

Sigma has just announced the new super wide angle lens; 10 - 20 mm F4.0 - F5.6 EX DC HSM today.

A lot of manufacturers have been introducing new wide angle lens lately; SP AF11-18mm F/4.5-5.6 Di-II LD Aspherical (IF) from Tamron , AT-X 124 AF PRO DX from Tokina or even 12 - 24 mm F4.5-5.6 EX DG HSM from Sigma itself.

I do hope we will now have (cheaper) alternatives for wide angle lens apart from the pricey Nikkor 12 - 24 mm DX lens :)
